• Teens may begin the classroom portion of driver education at the age of 15 years and 9 months.
• Teens do not need to have a learners permit before taking the classroom portion of driver education.
• A learner's permit is required for teens to start the on-road driving portion of driver education.
• A learner's permit is obtained through the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles by going to the RMV website (WWW.MASS.GOV/RMV) and scheduling an appointment at one of the locations available.

• We have 1-week classes during school vacations and summer breaks. Classes are held Monday through Friday from 8:00AM - 3:00PM. (Students are given 2, 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch)
• We have 2-week classes schedules may vary depending on availability. Classes are held Monday through Friday from 4:00PM - 7:00PM

OUR SCHOOL HAS A MICROWAVE, MINI FRIDGE AND VENDING MACHINE WITH DRINKS AND SNACKS

• THE REGISTRY OF MOTOR VEHICLES REQUIRES ALL STUDENTS ENROLLED IN A DRIVER EDUCATION COURSE TO COMPLETE ALL REQUIREMENTS WITHIN A 2-YEAR PERIOD TO RECEIVE CREDIT FOR A FULL DRIVER ED. COURSE AND RECEIVE AN INSURANCE DISCOUNT.
  (30-hour classroom, 12-hours of driving, 6-hours of observation, 2-hour parent class and pass a driver education exam with a score of 80% or higher)
• We do not offer refunds for students who exceed the 2 -year period.
• All JOL's (teens under the age of 18) Must hold a learners permit for a minimum of 6 months and complete a full driver education course to be eligible for a road test in Massachusetts.
• Teens 18 years of age and older are not required to take a full driver education course to be eligible for a road test and do not have to hold a learners permit for 6 months before being eligible for a road test.
• A Massachusetts learners permit is required to be eligible for a road test, no matter what age you are.

FULL PACKAGE COURSE COST IS DISCOUNTED WHEN YOU BUNDLE. IF YOU WERE TO PAY FOR EACH COURSE SEPERATELY, (CLASSROOM, ON-ROADS, PARENT CLASS & ROAD TEST SPONSORSHIP). THE CLASSROOM COST IS $508, THE ON-ROAD COST IS $700, THE PARENT CLASS IS $50 AND THE ROAD TEST SPONSORSHIP IS $120, TOTALLING $1,378. YOU ARE SAVING $528 DOLLARS WHEN YOU PURCHASE THE FULL PACKAGE, WHETHER YOU NEED A PARENT CLASS OR A ROAD TEST SPONSORSHIP.

• WE ONLY PROVIDE THE USE OF OUR VEHICLE AND ROAD TEST SPONSORSHIP FOR ROAD TESTING, IF WE ARE THE ONES SCHEDULING THE ROAD TEST AND ONLY AT THE DRIVING SCHOOL LOCATION.
• IF YOU PURCHASE A FULL PACKAGE (DISCOUNTED PACKAGES) AND DECIDE LATER THAT YOU ONLY WANT TO TAKE THE CLASSROOM PORTION OR THE ON-ROAD PORTION OF THE COURSE, THE DISCOUNTED PRICE IS NULL, AND VOID AND YOU WILL BE CHARGED THE FULL PRICE OF EACH COURSE.
• THERE IS NO DISCOUNT OR PRICE REDUCTION IF YOU DO NOT REQUIRE A PARENT CLASS OR ROAD TEST SPONSORSHIP. SEPARATING THE PACKAGES WOULD RESULT IN A HIGHER COST.

The parent classes are held once a month and must be completed for students to schedule their on-road driving lessons.

If a parent has completed a parent class for another child within a 5-year period, the parent class does not need to be taken again, however the parent is required to inform the driving school of the completion of a parent class. If the parent class was completed at another driving school, a copy of the parent class certificate is required as proof of completion.

ENROLL IN A PARENT CLASS Parents can enroll in an upcoming parent class by logging into their teens Nichols Driving School, driver education student portal account. Your username and password are required and should have been emailed upon registering for an upcoming teen course. Once logged into the teens driving school account, go to ENROLL, INCLUDE PARENT CLASS $0.00, and select the date you can attend class.

WE CANNOT GUARANTEE THE COMPLETION OF THE REQUIRED 18 HOURS OF IN-CAR LESSONS WITH LESS THAN A 6-MONTH PERIOD. STUDENTS ENROLLING IN A DRIVER EDUCATION COURSE WHO ARE ELIGIBLE NOW OR SOON FOR A ROAD TEST MAY STILL HAVE TO WAIT 6 MONTHS TO COMPLETE ALL THE REQUIRED ON-ROAD HOURS. WE RECOMMEND SPREADING ON-ROAD LESSONS OUT ACCORDINGLY.

• CANCELING A SCHEDULED LESSON MAY RESULT IN A PROLONGED COMPLETION OF DRIVING HOURS.
• WE CANNOT ACCOMMODATE STUDENTS THAT WAIT LESS THAN 4 MONTHS TO SCHEDULE ALL OF THEIR ON-ROAD LESSONS.

$250.00 Paid to register and sign up for classes (non-refundable, can be used to sign up for a different course within our school)

$200.00 Paid the first week of class (must be paid before the last class or the final exam cannot be taken)

ON-ROAD DRIVING PAYMENT SCHEDULE:

$250.00 paid to schedule the 1st,2nd & 3rd on-road driving lessons (students account balance must be $200 or less)

$200.00 paid to schedule the 4th, 5th & 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th on-road lessons (account balance should be $0)

NONPAYMENT WILL RESULT IN THE DELAY OF SCHEDULING ON-ROAD LESSONS
